oss4-gtk software package provides Open Sound System - simple GTK2-based mixer control, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install oss4-gtk
oss4-gtk is installed in your system.
Make ensure the oss4-gtk package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep oss4-gtk *
You will get with oss4-gtk package name, version, architecture and description in a table
